Aventa is, along with partners from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, a member of The Nordic Built “Active Roofs and Facades in Sustainable Renovation” project, which is supported by Nordic Innovation. Danish energy specialist company Cenergia is coordinating the activity. The idea behind the project is to develop a concept for integrated solutions for renovation. The work should result in prefabricated solutions such as facades or roof elements that will be brought to the building site, and can be tailored to the specific needs of the building. A number of apartment building and school projects in the Nordic countries represented in the programme will be renovated and used as showcases utilising the concept.
The group acknowledges that there is a need to showcase the benefits of integrated prefabricated solutions, including a view to an integrated use of solar energy, and that such solutions have benefits for both building users, owners, renovation companies and advisers.
